What People's Say About Place

The shrimp was fire the Mac was good .. this was my first time trying them & I will definitely be back .. ontop of the good food .. the customer service is welcoming ..

Had a chance to order from the bosses , The energy exuding from them like I was at my aunty house waiting for Sunday dinner !! great hospitality good music to listen to while you wait for your food and made fresh to Order who can beat that . You’ll love it

Lemon pepper wings/shrimp and the collard greens were some of the best I've ever had. The mac and cheese was great too but those 3 were on a different level

OMGoodness!!!!! So I took a walk down the street to try out a soul food style establishment and wow.. just wow! I am a southern bell with a hint of Caribbean so I can be picky! The owner assured me that I wouldn’t be disappointed and she was correct! I had the fried chicken with a mango hot sauce.. the crisp remained though the sauce! The Mac n cheese was like my Nanas, the collards were flavorful and the rice and beans were not overcooked! Everything was delicious.. not cheap but delicious!!!! I’m going back for my yams and cornbread real soon!! Don’t think about it … ORDER and post a real review like I’m doing!

10/10! Super friendly staff and everything was delicious. I went in anticipating oxtails but they were out, so I opted for jerk chicken, Mac and cheese and rice and peas. Literally the most flavorful rice and peas I’ve ever had! Mac was tasty and well seasoned and the jerk chicken was the perfect blend of tang and spice. I looked forward to having leftovers but ate the entire plate in one sitting. Will definitely be back :))

I’m for real, I like to eat out after a COGIC high service. So I saw this on instagram. I got the Fried Chicken, Mac & Cheese & Yams. Every item was an A plus and my daughter agreed. This is not a friend but a real review. Served fresh and not a lot of hands on your food! Clean, camera ready space. No minuses the food was cooked and served with Love- No Fluff! You will not waste your money!

tldr: the food was great and the owner was very friendly full review: i ordered with grubhub a few minutes before, and since it was cold i walked in instead of waiting outside. i had got oxtails, yams, and collard greens. when i told her my order she said how the yams were still cooking and offered to give me something else. i love yams — so i didn't mind waiting (it was maybe an hour or so). in the mean time, we had a conversation and she asked me about myself and also told me her own story. she is a very admirable and kind person and the food she made was delicious. she put her entire heart into it, and you can tell. everything made in the restaurant was either made by her or her mom. i went almost a month ago, and i still think about the interaction (and the food). more about the place: there are two high tables directly next to each other. you could probably eat inside, but there isn't much room. there is a lot of space for those with a wheelchair as well.

I ate good okay! The macaroni feels like thanksgiving, the oxtails? Fire. The cabbage? Fire. It’s insane how fast I devoured this meal; I got the Oxtail meal and it definitely was a great end to my day. The portions are perfect; The owner is super chill and the restaurant is super cute and aesthetic, definitely my new soul food go-to! Also if you’re big on seafood you definitely won’t be disappointed because she has tons of seafood based meal options!
